Privacy Policy

Below we inform you about the nature, scope and purpose of the processing of your personal data when you use our website Farmhouse Prasser. Personal data means all information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.

1. Controller

The controller within the meaning of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data. The controller for the personal data processed when you visit our website is: Remote Republic Labs GmbH, Zur Waage 18, 10247 Berlin, office@remoterepublic.com (hereinafter "we").

2. When you visit our website

When you visit our website, our server collects the following information from your device: browser type and version, operating system, previously visited website ("referrer"), IP address and time of the page request.

We collect and process this data to ensure the smooth operation of our website and to detect, prevent and respond to misuse of our services. We also use the data collected for statistical purposes — for example to evaluate which devices and browsers are used to access our platform — so that we can continuously adapt and improve our offering to meet user needs.

This data processing is carried out on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. We delete all of the personal data listed above no later than twelve months after collection.

3. Hosting

This website is operated as a static site and served directly from a server located in Germany. No content delivery network (CDN) or upstream reverse-proxy service (such as Cloudflare) is used. The operation and maintenance of the server is handled by a hosting provider acting as our processor in accordance with Article 28 GDPR. The server log data generated when the website is accessed is processed solely as described in section 2 above; it is not passed on to third parties for any purposes beyond this.

4. Fonts

This website uses exclusively self-hosted fonts. No external font services (such as Google Fonts) are used. When you load our website, no connections are made to third-party servers to load fonts, and no IP address or other data is transmitted to third parties in this context.

5. Contact

When you send us a message by e-mail, we store your message together with the sender data transmitted with it (name, e-mail address and, where applicable, further information added by your e-mail program and the transmitting servers). For the receipt, storage and sending of e-mails we use an e-mail provider who acts as our processor in accordance with Article 28 GDPR.

The legal basis for this data processing is our legitimate interest in responding to your message and being able to reply to any follow-up questions (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We delete the data collected with your message no later than twelve months after our last communication with you regarding your inquiry, subject to the provision in the following paragraph.

If you send us a legally relevant declaration in connection with a contractual relationship that exists between us (e.g. a complaint), the legal basis for processing is also Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, regardless of the means of transmission. In such a case, we delete the data associated with your declaration as soon as all mutual claims arising from the contractual relationship have been finally settled and the statutory commercial and tax retention periods have expired.

6. Booking Widget (Guesty)

Our website embeds a booking widget from the service provider Guesty (Guesty Inc.), made available via guesty.remoterepublic.com in an iframe. When you use the booking widget, your booking data (e.g. name, e-mail address, stay dates, payment information) is transmitted to and processed by Guesty. Guesty acts as our processor in this context pursuant to Article 28 GDPR. Processing is carried out for the purpose of fulfilling the booking contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Further information can be found in Guesty's privacy policy: https://guesty.com/privacy-policy/.

7. Social Media

Our website may display social media buttons, which can be identified by the logos of the respective social media platforms (Facebook: "f" logo). These are links to the respective platforms. Clicking on such a link opens the website of the respective platform, at which point the IP address of the requesting device and the address of the page from which the link was followed ("referrer") are transmitted to the platform. We ourselves do not collect or process any data in connection with the social media buttons.

8. Your Rights

With regard to the personal data we process about you, you have the following rights:

  • You have the right to request from us confirmation as to whether we are processing personal data relating to you. If so, we will provide you with the personal data stored about you and the further information pursuant to Article 15(1) and (2) GDPR.
  • You have the right to request the immediate rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning you. Taking into account the purposes of the processing, you also have the right to request the completion of incomplete personal data — including by means of a supplementary declaration.
  • You may request the immediate erasure of personal data concerning you where the conditions of Article 17(1) GDPR are met, provided that processing is not required pursuant to Article 17(3) GDPR.
  • You may request that we restrict the processing of your data where one of the conditions in Article 18(1) GDPR applies. You may request restriction in particular as an alternative to erasure.
  • We will communicate any rectification or erasure of your personal data and any restriction of processing to all recipients to whom we have disclosed personal data concerning you, unless this proves impossible or involves a disproportionate effort. We will also inform you about those recipients if you request it.
  • You have the right to receive the personal data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and to request that we transmit this data to another controller without hindrance, to the extent that this is technically feasible.
  • Where data processing is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal.

RIGHT TO OBJECT: FOR REASONS ARISING FROM YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION, YOU MAY AT ANY TIME OBJECT TO THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA CONCERNING YOU; this right to object applies to processing carried out on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR in pursuit of our legitimate interests or those of a third party, unless your interests or fundamental rights and freedoms requiring the protection of personal data override those interests. If you exercise your right to object, we will no longer process the data concerned, unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.

IN THE EVENT THAT WE PROCESS PERSONAL DATA FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES (E.G. NEWSLETTERS), YOU MAY AT ANY TIME OBJECT TO THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA CONCERNING YOU FOR SUCH MARKETING PURPOSES, WITH THE RESULT THAT WE WILL NO LONGER PROCESS YOUR DATA FOR THOSE PURPOSES.

If you consider that the processing of your personal data infringes the GDPR, you may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement. This is without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedies.
