This was one of the most beautiful houses I have ever seen. Every piece of furniture had been chosen with care, the accommodation was incredibly well appointed, and we had the most wonderful time. We did yoga, cooked together in the large, fully equipped kitchen, talked by the fireplace and went on long walks. It was perfect.
We came here for a team offsite and everything worked out beautifully: my questions were always answered quickly, the hosts were very flexible and made our every wish possible, check-in was seamless, and the location itself is a dream. Architecture, design, furnishings and cleanliness leave nothing to be desired. The surroundings are wonderfully peaceful — if you're lucky you might even spot foxes and deer. :) We were so glad to have spent three days here; I can wholeheartedly recommend this hidden gem.

We spent our workation here and it was simply brilliant! The house was perfectly equipped and impeccably maintained — we felt at home from the very first moment. Particularly useful was the large meeting room for our joint sessions, and the smaller room for breakouts. There was a whiteboard and flip chart too. The hosts were incredibly warm, responded to every message straight away and fulfilled every request. A perfect mix of work and relaxation — we will definitely be back!

Particularly noteworthy are the comprehensive kitchen equipment, the high-quality yoga gear, and practical touches like the drinks fridges and the large TV with games console, which provided great entertainment for us. The planning process beforehand was relaxed and smooth — our wishes were implemented straight away — and even on-site, any question or small request was met with a quick and helpful response. A truly dream villa! We ran a workshop for 9 people and there was plenty of space, including several rooms for focused work. But relaxation was equally well catered for. A dream property with everything you could want! We will definitely come back!

If Beams Could Talk
The house, designed by Manfred Prasser and built between 1995 and 2001 largely by his own hand, was not merely his retirement home but an architectural testing ground. From 2022 to 2024 it underwent a comprehensive energy retrofit, leaving the original design entirely intact. The timber-frame structure — built with Prasser's own innovative truss system — creates column-free spaces and, through its many windows and garden exits, merges seamlessly with the surrounding grounds. The view stretches across Brandenburg pastureland to a woodland in the distance.
As a cultural gathering place, the house drew architects, artists, musicians and politicians. It hosted lectures and charity Christmas concerts for people with cancer that attracted up to 400 guests. The construction method and design language were later adopted in further houses Prasser designed.

The Life of Manfred Prasser
Manfred Prasser (1932–2018) was one of the most significant architects of the GDR era. His most important works include the design of Alexanderplatz, the Great Hall of the Palace of the Republic — featuring innovative engineering solutions — and the reconstruction of the Berlin Konzerthaus in a classical style. Further projects encompassed the reconstruction of the Nikolaiviertel, the Komische Oper and major hotel buildings across Berlin.
After reunification, Prasser opened his own architectural practice and realized a number of building projects, including the Hotel "Grüner Turm" and several private houses. Until the end of his life he lived in the house he himself designed in Zehlendorf. His wide-ranging body of work — from civic buildings to master plans such as the one for Leipzig-Schkeuditz Airport — bears witness to his extraordinary creative output.
